Down East Animal Refuge Rehoming
Our dogs that are available for re-homing now appear on both 1-800-Save-A-Pet.com and Petfinder.com websites. To see our dogs that are ready for re-homing, click on the links below. These links will take you to a search screen where you will need to type in a searchable zip code. That zip code is 27874. The next screen will then show all available dogs within that zip code that are available for re-homing. You then can look at each individual dog for additional details. You will need to return to our re-homing page once you have found the dog you would like to re-home.
You will need to view, print, and fill out a copy of our Rehoming application in order to show interest in re-homing an animal at DEAR. You can complete the application and return either by fax or email. All formats of the application are accepted. We do, however, need you to sign the application and return. NEW - DEAR is also requesting photos from those who have re-homed pets. Please forward digital or scanned images to information@downeastanimalrefuge.org. Please also enclose any appropriate information regarding how the pet is working out for you, how long the pet has been with you, and anything the animal has learned since beiong rehomed.
