Judy Larkins is a founding member of the local art club, Greenville Brushstrokes. She graduated from Gordon College in Hamilton, Massachusetts and has studied art with private instructors over the years. She has been painting in watercolor for the past five years, studying under Janet Dixon of Winterville, North Carolina and a week with Bridget Austin of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Judy has placed first in watercolor and won People’s Choice in a local show, has won honorable mentions in two shows, and was juried into the Watercolor Society of North Carolina in July 2004. She has shown and sold work in The Design Gallery in Burnsville, North Carolina, Bob Pittman’s studio in Greenville, NC, at the Beaufort County Fine Arts Show, and at the Windsor open house Christmas sale. Her painting, "Mixed Koi" was on the cover of “Arts Alive” magazine, April issue, 2006. She will have an upcoming show at the Estuarium in Washington, North Carolina in June 2007.
Judy presently works part time as a nurse in occupational health at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
