Driving Instructions to DEAR Animal Facility
From Rocky Mount/Tarboro - Take 258 North to Scotland Neck. You will see a brick Welcome to Scotland Neck sign. Shortly after that 258 will branch north and there will be another branch to the right. Take that right. You will pass Down East Peanuts/Country Mart on the right. At the intersection, turn right. You will pass by the Grasunan Pond on your right. You will then see a radio/cell tower on the right. Turn right on the dirt road before you get to the radio tower. You will see the DEAR shelter and trailer in the field to you left. Please follow the road to the dog house.
From Rich Square/Ahoskie - Take 258 South to Scotland Neck. You will drive through town on Main Street. Continue until you see the Handy Mart (under construction) on your right and Food Lion on your left. Straight ahead will be the Freez. You will turn left onto 125 towards Hobgood. You will go past Food Lion, through another intersection. You will pass by the Grasunan Pond on your right. You will then see a radio/cell tower on the right. Turn right on the dirt road before you get to the radio tower. You will see the DEAR shelter and trailer in the field to you left. Please follow the road to the dog house.
From Roanoke Rapids/Enfield - Take 125 toward Scotland Neck. You will get to an intersection with 258 North/South which is Main Street. Take a right. You will drive through town on Main Street. Continue until you the Handy Mart on your right and Food Lion on your left. Straight ahead will be the Freez. You will take turn left onto 125. You will go past Food Lion, through another intersection. You will pass by the Grasunan Pond on your right. You will then see a radio/cell tower on the right. Turn right on the dirt road before you get to the radio tower. You will see the DEAR shelter and trailer in the field to you left. Please follow the road to the dog house.
From Hobgood/Oak City/Greenville - You will head toward Scotland Neck on 125. Shortly after leaving Hobgood, before entering Scotland Neck, you will see a tall radio/cell tower on the left. There is a dirt road on the left after passing the tower. Take a left on the dirt road. You will see the DEAR shelter and trailer in the field to you left. Please follow the road to the dog house.
